My boss, Leeann Carey, is a world-renowned yoga teacher & she says that you can gain SI joint stability through yoga. In a work-out the drive is often ego-based, used to push the body past its current limits in order to reach goals. What you're describing is that mind-body-spirit harmony, which is obviously more of a challenge to the person as a whole, in more ways than one! I love it!Ingahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17484042868420177907noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8669997749008384471.post-1851266704146669752010-06-06T17:11:55.971-07:002010-06-06T17:11:55.971-07:00Can't wait to read it all! Looking over my post this morning, ...Thanks, gals. Looking over my post this morning, I have a much better attitude about the situation and of course, both of you are absolutely right. Yesterday was a day where I I didn't act very great (like one of my past blogs says that you should). I didn't even try to fake acting great. I really let all those PMS emotions get the best of me and dug myself into a hole. Thanks for the support, and I am feeling much better now. You are both right - I need to focus on the joy of teaching, teaching both what I am learning as a student and what will benefit my students, and take all comments as positive suggestions or with a grain of salt.

Love, light, and handstands,
AnnaAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04705806415618805461noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8669997749008384471.post-48041120205522644762010-01-25T21:28:28.493-08:002010-01-25T21:28:28.493-08:00Hello Anna,

Our morning yoga classes are always smaller than the afternoon classes too. I just don't think that others like to get up as early as I do. I also think that maybe your student should look for other types of yoga if she thinks all vinyasa classes are similar...your practice is creative and had me trying new things so I think it was wonderful. I enjoy that vinyasa classes are similar so I know what to expect but at the same time there are so many different poses, that each class offers something new. Sometimes the up and down waves of life make it hard to keep our head above water but you're a strong swimmer with lots of drive so just keep doing what you love, incorporate changes of suggestions that you think will make you a better teacher, and you will nurture your students' practice and love for yoga.

Namaste,
SophAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03226207461817699327noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8669997749008384471.post-25495579370170322762010-01-25T20:48:42.236-08:002010-01-25T20:48:42.236-08:00Hey Anna,

So doesn't that trump the student that wasn't to happy the other day?

I'm so sorry to hear about your class this weekend and how hard on yourself you were. I believe as a yoga teacher (not that I have decided to teach just yet) or any teacher of that matter you are going to have students that love your style and kiss the ground you walk on, those who can take it or leave it, and sometimes those that critque everything you do. Don't beat yourself up about it and take it so personal:) Think of it as a insight into how you can be more creative as a teacher (even though Im sure you are already quite creative) and blend novice students with experienced on any given day? I know I have never taken one of your classes but from meeting you the other night I'm pretty sure I can assume your classes are filled with creative energy and love for your students:) That's all that should matter right?

Bhakti to you and your practice.HOpe to see you around-Julie PapekJulie Phttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01041099888203040221noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8669997749008384471.post-39622467503240775292010-01-23T06:43:07.589-08:002010-01-23T06:43:07.589-08:00I just want to say that I have REALLY enjoyed read...I just want to say that I have REALLY enjoyed reading your blog.
